Description

In this project, we are developing the potential of the Solia Foundation by strengthening the organisation''s management and professional image. The project also aims to prevent addiction and violence and, in particular, to counteract the social exclusion of girls from the City of Legnica aged 13-15 and their families. The grant will allow us to expand the area of our Foundation''s activities, strengthen our credibility and more effectively seek beneficiaries, donors and partners for future projects. We will promote attitudes of empathy and assertiveness in the local community and help our beneficiaries develop skills to seek help and help each other.

Summary of project results

The basic objectives of the Foundation''s activities meet the needs of people at risk of social exclusion. Children and young people from environments exposed to violence, addiction, experiencing poverty, aggression, lack of self-confidence and homophobia.

Our goal is to counteract this state of affairs. We want to support such people by giving them the strength, skills and opportunities to behave appropriately, e.g. defending their own boundaries and not violating other people''s boundaries, preventing addictions or violence, etc. On the other hand, workshops on stress reduction or supporting ecology (including internal ones) will teach participants in proper social functioning and group cooperation. the organization responds to the needs of people from the local community. These people, due to coming from families and environments where there is violence, addictions, various types of aggression or simply lack of empathy and love, struggle with a number of difficulties (physical and mental) in properly functioning in social life. Actions are taken systematically between children and parents, and even one grandmother joined us in this edition, which makes us very happy.

The plan for the development of the organization concerned: building a strategy for the development of the organization, defining the duties and responsibilities of individual members, settling projects and volunteering in the long-term perspective of cooperation. Two cooperation agreements were signed with the Therapeutic Community Center No. 1 and Primary School No. 1 in Legnica. In addition, as part of the training part for foundation development, a foundation development strategy was developed. organization development strategy. We completed the following training: defining tasks/responsibilities, project settlement, cooperation with volunteers. During the support period, the Foundation''s communication plan and fundraising campaign were developed. We purchased a laptop, a printer, materials for the classes - a flipchart, cards, blocks, paper, and drinking water for the participants.

as part of activities 2-4, we carried out classes for the project beneficiaries in the following areas: Wendo self-defense workshops, soft skills training on various topics, addiction prevention workshops, music therapy workshops, floristry and ecological workshops.

We completed: Wendo self-defense workshops (2x5h) attended by 7 people; soft skills training on various topics (17 hours in total) benefited 7 people from the group plus children from the common room (only the parents here had their own lists, I only took the lists of people who agreed, so I don''t know how to count it..); addiction prevention workshops for 10 youth (6 hours) and 3 parents (2 hours); music therapy workshop (5h) 7 people; floristic and ecological workshops (6h) 10 people

The results of the project are mainly: an increase in the skills of the Foundation''s staff regarding human resources and financial management, an increase in the number of volunteers by 5 people, and the recognition of the Foundation and its brand. We have acquired two new social partners (Primary School No. 1 in Legnica, Therapeutic Community Center No. 1 in Legnica). The great effect is to counteract social exclusion, which in practice for the beneficiaries means an increase in self-confidence, assertiveness, protection and non-violation of boundaries, and an increase in care for themselves and their surroundings.

Thanks to the grant, the foundation successfully entered the social services market. Currently, we are cooperating with the city of Legnica and the city of Jawor. Thanks to the operator''s support, we were able to develop skills and learn about the structures of functioning in the social and NGO space. The local community has benefited from the development of educational, preventive and preventive activities. Our greatest success of this edition is that two families underwent therapy (parents and children). Three participants stopped smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol. After the end of the project, more people started coming forward - both young people and parents looking for support. We are very grateful for this opportunity to develop and support other people in need in difficult life situations.

As a result of the grant implementation, the participants (youth and their parents), Primary School No. 1 in Legnica, Therapeutic Community Center No. 1 in Legnica, benefited. The organization gained 5 volunteer people who formed a team, through training we gained basic knowledge of how the organization should function. The Solia Foundation is recognized in the region.
