Description

We will provide assistance/ psychological and legal/ to children and persons fleeing the war in Ukraine and seeking protection, regardless of their status. The goal of the project is to help children and families seeking protection from the war in Ukraine to overcome their fears and the consequences of what they experienced. War, flight from hostilities are stressful factors that affect the psyche. The support offered is intended to help families and children cope with challenges. Children in particular are the most vulnerable, as current events cause fear and uncertainty in them.

Summary of project results

The main goal of the project was to provide support to children and families fleeing the war in Ukraine and to assist in the process of adaptation and overcoming the traumas experienced by them.

During the implementation of the project, a specialized center was built, where those seeking protection from the war, currently living on the territory of the town of Haskovo, had the opportunity to visit and receive legal and psychological help and support.

In the center, the project implementers give lessons in the Bulgarian language and provide the services of a psychologist during the group consultations with the children and their parents. During the project period, 120 individual consultations with children, over 100 individual consultations with parents and 42 group activities with children and parents were held.

At the same time, refugees also receive legal assistance, including before the "Migration" office - Haskovo, before the Social Assistance Agency and the National Social Security Institute.

Photos from the various events and life at the Center can be found on the foundation''s page.
