Description

Eco Mitadia Intermed operates a rented line technology for the recycling of thin plastics. With the current recycling production line, it is only possible to process thin and soft plastic. The thin plastic is valued and transformed into the raw material needed for plastic production like for example bag production and packaging foil.

The main objective of this project is to implement a modern recycling production line which will be able to process more collection of plastic waste in addition to thin and hard plastic. This will lead to a significant increase in production of raw materials which will increase the production volume of plastic waste. The high technology performance of the new equipment will also increase the product quality and reduce the production time. The technical features of the complete regranulation line represent product innovation at company level since the quality of the produced granules is significantly improved.

The implementation aims to increase the competitiveness of the company in the regional market, create 3 new jobs and enable Eco Mitiadia Intermed to become the final recycler of their plastic waste. Key activities include:

  • External consultancy services for project management which will ensure the implementation of the project in terms of time, quality, and cost.
  • Purchase, install and operate the new recycling production line.
  • External financial audit.
  • Information and publicity related to the project results.

Increasing the production volume from 85 kg/hour to 210 kg/hour (on average), will lead to an increase in turnover and net profit for the company.
