Programme Concerns
A pre-defined project in the area of combating economic crime with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as project partner, shall be explored when developing the concept note.
A pre-defined project in the area of strengthening capacity of the forensic system with the National Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS/KRIPOS) as project partner, shall be explored.
A pre-defined project in the area of strengthening child friendly justice with the Icelandic Government Agency for Child Protection as project partner, shall be explored when developing the concept note.
The maximum level of funding available from the total eligible expenditure of the programme for infrastructure (hard measures) shall be identified in the concept note.
The programme shall focus on combating economic crime, strengthening capacity of the forensic system and on strengthening child friendly justice.
Bilateral Ambitions
€ 271,000 shall be allocated to the programme from the fund for bilateral relations, including € 123,822 of the Fund for bilateral relations under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 earmarked for the bilateral initiative "Forensic science cooperation: 3D scanning expertise method" in cooperation with the National Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS/KRIPOS) in relation to the pre-defined project ‘Strengthening the capacity of the forensic system and inspection of the site of the event’ and € 47,178 of the Fund for bilateral relations under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 earmarked for a bilateral initiative in cooperation with the National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime (ØKOKRIM) in relation to the pre-defined project ‘Support to the State Police for increasing effectiveness and quality of economic crime investigation in Latvia’. This does not prevent the Joint Committee for Bilateral Funds from allocating additional funds to the programme.
