On 9 December 2016, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway signed new cooperation agreements with Bulgaria on a number of new programmes under the EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021.

- Fighting poverty and promoting local development, and improving living conditions for the Roma population.
- Boosting green industry innovation and entrepreneurship in cooperation with enterprises from Norway.
