Description
Education without Backpacks (EwB) has been expanding aiming at: 1) offering sooner a full Bulgarian version of the most powerful education platform in the world, available for free at that – Khan Academy; 2) training more teachers (the main target group under the project) to use innovation, including use this digital resource that has proved to be useful for students (direct beneficiaries). The expansion of EwB, set up hardly 4.5 years ago, requires serious enhancing of the capacity for publicity and marketing (mandatory for any product, commercial or non-profit), fundraising to diversify financing and sustainability, local partnerships – the most urgent educational needs are on local level, and there is very high potential for using Khan (now the penetration of the platform in 5 districts in the country is two-third times lower than in Sofia). The expected results are: greater transparency about our work, a clearer and more regular information about our activity (a website, social network), provision of at least two sources of financing with a share of at least 30% of the annual budget for a period of 3 years, meetings with the target groups (teachers, as well as decision-makers, such as school principals, (deputy mayors, municipal council representatives) for partnerships on local level; improved, more efficient processes in the organization.
