Description

Project description: Vinderen is the owner of Ceramstic and Rotberg brands, Vinderen Mikspol and Vinderen Development R&D unit. The main objective of the project is to apply innovative technology for the production process of high quality green products based on used tyres. The expected output of the project is extending existing recycling process of used tires and introducing to new for company product: TDF (tire derived fuel) and improved steel cord. Partners: The project will be implemented in cooperation with International Development Norway AS. Project objectives: • Realisation of business opportunities of greening the European economy • Introducing to new for company product: TDF Outcome indicators: • Number of environmental technologies successfully applied for use in new areas - 2 • Green jobs created – 3 new green jobs • Reduction in CO2 emissions – 14 797 tones/ year

Summary of project results

The main objective of the project, implemented in cooperation with International Development Norway AS, was to apply an innovative technology for recycling of used car tyres, with the purpose of producing alternative fuels (TDF). The recycling process has been extended and improved, and new products have been introduced. Realisation of those two aims effects in reduction of CO2 (14 500 tones/year), SO2 (137,4 tons/year), NOX (57,0 tons/year) and also dust production (4,1 tons/year).

Summary of bilateral results

International Development Norway AS has supported Project Promotor during the whole project implementation process serving as advisor and consultant. The partner has also helped to develop own CSR strategy and organised study visits to Norway.
