Action for the full recovery of victims of domestic violence and improving institutional coordination - ARIADNA
Summary of project results
The lack of coordination due to the difficult access to centralized information surrounding any victim or potential victim of gender based violence, lead to the development of a project to unify all the resources. The objective was to design a computer based information system that unifies the knowledge of all agents that can intervene in the processes related with Gender based Violence in the Balearic Islands. This would greatly improve the coordination of professional care services to victims, through personalized care plans and monitoring. The objective has been achieved by raising the process standards, preventing errors such as loss of contact, and inadequate monitoring of the victim, in order to establish coordination and communication paths, to prevent the re-victimization that usually occurred when not properly dealt with. The Information system tool has allowed equal attention coverage, as well as to integrate information sharing mechanisms, making the detection of situations of violence possible, and to analyse the impact of the actions, allow a continuous assessment, as well as continuous awareness raising. All of this is a result of combining the computer application, identifying the "person of reference" figure, the training provided, and the awareness raising and information dissemination activities. With this application, we achieved the improvement in inter-institutional coordination that was sought, by using a common tool.
