Summary of project results

The rehabilitation of the volunteer center and assuring the necessary equipment, together with providing training activities for the volunteers, were the main objectives of the project. After complying with all the necessary bureaucratic formalities and obtaining the needed documentation, the work on renovating and equipping the volunteer center has started. As a result, the center was renovated and equipped, 9 volunteers have benefited from coaching activities, 18 volunteers were trained in the field of fundraising, in writing projects and project management, and 63 volunteering contracts were signed. Also, project beneficiaries have gained access to laptops, internet, printers and a smart TV for presentations and interactive activities. The volunteering data base has been enlarged, due to the public interest towards project's activities. Volunteers were involved in organising and conducting the "Public Café" event. As a method of formal education, this event has helped young people to exchange ideas about the concept of volunteering. Also, it helped the project team to determine the needs of young people in terms of volunteering. The event was attended by 44 people. In order to develop the organisation's volunteer data base, street events were organized and an information campaign was carried. The "Open Doors for volunteering" was attended by 24 volunteers, for example. In the first month, organisational development activities were carried through expanding the number of volunteers and promoting project activities. Young volunteers were included, with the help of partner organisations. In order to ensure organisational development, the applicant has organized two street events. Within these events, promotional materials were distributed and lists with supporters were made. As a result, 2000 people were informed. The videoconference was organized as a virtual workshop and was attended by 15 representatives of associations which have agreed upon several cooperation agreements. Also, a set of common conclusions was reached, regarding management issues, future initiatives, ways of working together and procedures on how to attract and maintain volunteers.
