Description

The socio-economic context of the project is related to the need for professionalisation of volunteering (Law 78/2014 issued by the Government of Romania). The Impossible Theater Association's aim is to develop professional skills of a volunteering group specialises in organising cultural events which will lead to increasing the social capital and the high quality services provided by the cultural organisations.. The project envisages the creation of a Volunteer Centre in Cultural and Creative Industries, which aims to provide support to cultural NGOs and public institutions in identifying and selecting volunteers. In this respect, the project regards the involvement of 120 volunteers of all ages in four voluntary programs implemented in cultural organizations, after an initial training of the volunteers in key areas of their future activitiy. The project also aims to create a website that will serve as the starting point for a professional network of co-interested actors. This online platform will thus contribute to sustainable development in Cultural and Creative Industries.

Summary of project results

The Impossible Theater Association, as a promoter of the project “Initiating the Volunteer’s Center in the cultural and creative sector”, together with its institutional partners - County Library Octavian Goga Cluj-Napoca, Art Museum Cluj-Napoca and “Andrei Muresanu” Theatre in Sfantu Gheorghe created a Volunteer Centre in Cultural and Creative Industries and provided support to cultural NGOs and public institutions in identifying and selecting volunteers. The Promoter developed the professional skills of a volunteering group specialized in organizing cultural events which lead to increasing the social capital and the high quality services provided by the cultural organizations. The project created a Volunteer Centre in Cultural and Creative Industries, which provided support to cultural NGOs and public institutions in identifying and selecting volunteers. In this respect, the project involved 150 volunteers of all ages in four voluntary programs implemented in cultural organizations. An initial training was organised for the volunteers in key areas of their future activity. Other results: four volunteer programs and 11 projects in cultural sector implemented and participation at different international musical events. The project created a website that will serve as the starting point for a professional network of co-interested actors. The online platform contributes to a sustainable development in the Cultural and Creative Industries.
