Description

The aim of the project is to establish regional cooperation structures to prevent trafficking in human beings (THB) and the organization of summary conference. The project will contribute to enhancement of the regional cooperation between stakeholders responsible for preventing and combating trafficking in human beings and those responsible for supporting victims. Because of the preventive character of the teams their establishment will give an ordered structure to the form of regional cooperation. Consequently, project will facilitate efficient management of preventing initiatives at the regional level, making them organized and long-lasting. Project activities are directed to 15 Voivodships, however it is cautiously estimated, that it will contribute to creation of around 8 regional teams for preventing trafficking in human beings. The project will be summed up by the special event – conference for national and international practitioners.

Summary of project results

The objective of the project was to establish voivodeship cooperation structures to combat trafficking based on experiences from the creation of the first regional team in 2010 - the Mazovian Group for Combating Human Trafficking. The project was to enhance regional cooperation between stakeholders responsible for preventing and combating trafficking and victim support. Within the framework of the project implemented as a partnership with the International Organization for Migration, 15 voivodeship teams for combating human trafficking were established. 940 sets of promotional material were created and distributed among participants of training sessions for team members and during kick-off meetings. Leaflets in Polish were printed and distributed during training sessions for team members, kick-off meetings and other meetings. A project dedicated webpage was also appointed within the website www.handelludzmi.eu Training sessions were organised for the appointed coordinators of the voivodeship teams, and 15 analyses were developed and used for the preparation of regional studies.
