Summary of project results

The Multi Speciality Hospital in Zgorzelec is a public institution which provides medical services to about 94,000 inhabitants of the Zgorzelec county as well as to the inhabitants from surrounding counties. The Multi Speciality Hospital in Zgorzelec treats more than 30,000 inpatients and almost 200,000 outpatients every year. The objective of the project was a reduction in total energy demand in the building and reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. Thermomodernisational works covered one building, thanks to them after projects ending costs connected with buildings usage will be lower. Within the project over 2,2 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, old windows were replaced. Modernised were interior installations and district heating. Installed were high-efficiency cogeneration devices, solar collectors (156) and automation system. Interior lighting was exchanged for ecological one. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (3051 Mg/year). The local community and the environment benefit from the project because of improved air quality, as well as obtaining reduced carbon dioxide emissions The Multi Speciality Hospital in Zgorzelec also reduced its energy expenses. Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed within EEA fund
