Description

The project addresses the following challenges: Low level of production of energy from renewable sources, low energy efficiency of public buildings (including schools), too high levels of air pollution (CO2 and other gases). The main objective of the project: Increasing the share of energy from renewable sources, reducing greenhouse gas emission and local air pollution. The project is expected to achieve the following results: Improving the efficiency of energy in the buildings, increasing public education in the field of renewable energy sources, lower cost of maintenance of buildings, reduction of environmental pollution, lower cost in connection with heat and hot water. The project is based on latest technology, all materials used in the implementation of the project are certified and following required standards and norms, the technology used is tested in terms of efficiency and functionality. The benefits from the implementation of the project include the following: a cleaner and healthier environment for the local population, increased awareness of renewable energy sources, reduced energy costs for electricity and heat Bodzechów municipality.

Summary of project results

Thermomodernisational works covered 6 public utility buildings (schools). Within the project 1498 photovoltaic cells have been installed. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (813 Mg/year). The Beneficiary emphasized that thanks to projects implementation ecological awareness and knowledge about res using and energy managing have rose in whole municipality.
