The current project is a continuation of the thermo-modernization that took place at the hospital in 2007, which was limited to the thermal insulation of external walls and the replacement of ordinary windows for PVC windows. The project anticipates the changing of the external door woodwork, the modernization of the central heating system, the installation of a hot water supply powered by solar panels with a total capacity of 144.4 kW, the modernization of the substation and the replacement of the old lighting system with energy-efficient LED lighting. These measures are foreseen to lower the hospital building’s annual energy consumption by 35% and reduce its annual CO2 emissions by 38%. The project will benefit both patients and staff at the hospital in Sokolow Podlaski by providing increased comfort and lower the maintenance costs of the building.
