Description

Thermal insulation upgrading works on the premises of the facility will allow for improvement of the school's teaching standards, reduction of energy demand, and eventually will result in lower quantities of gas emissions into the atmosphere.The main objective of the project is to improve energy efficiency of the building of the Complex of Secondary Education Schools no. 15 in Kielce at ul. Krzemionkowa 1, reduction of pollutant emissions into the air and reduction of non-renewable energy sources. Currently, the principal element of the facility's heating infrastructure is an obsolete heat supply system, including a heat exchanger and hard coal-fueled boilers. What is more, the facility has unsatisfactory thermal insulation - draughty doors and windows, missing or insufficient wall insulation.The completion of the project in the era of general public's increased awareness of environmental challenges is of a key importance. Benefits from the completion of the above project must be considered both on the global and local scale, starting from environmental benefits to financial benefits of Kielce Municipality.

Summary of project results

Thermomodernisational works covered school building, were conducted with respect for natural environment (i.a. maintained were habitats of protected birds). Within the project installed were 2 ecological boilers and modernised heat distribution centre and window and door frames. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (1362 Mg/year). The Beneficiary emphasized that thanks to project school's teaching standards were improved, energy demand reduced. Eventually project will result in lower quantities of gas emissions into the atmosphere. Benefits from the completion of the project must be considered both on the global and local scale, starting from environmental benefits to financial benefits of Kielce Municipality.
