Description

The main aim of this project is to achieve high energy efficiency of buildings. The buildings that are covered by the project have low energy efficiency. As a result, they have high maintenance costs and high levels of emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere (e.g. CO2). The project will reduce the consumption of fuel material, whose combustion is a major factor in the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere. This will improve air quality. Reducing the consumption of fuel materials will also help to reduce the operating costs of buildings. At the time when this project will be implemented, we will work to reduce energy consumption in public buildings in the following facilities: Primary School No. 1 Welfer Center in Barlinek, Kindergarten No. 2 and schools in Kombatantów Street. Because of the project, the Municipality Barlinek will have new modernized buildings. The people who will use these buildings, and therefore are expected to benefit, are students, teachers, welfare clients and people that manage buildings. The owner of the building Municipality Barlinek will also benefit from the reduction in the operating cost of buildings.

Summary of project results

Projects implementation has contributed to achieve its main aim: high energy efficiency of buildings. Before investition, occured high maintenance costs of the buildings and high levels of emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere (e.g. CO2). Thermomodernisational works covered 4 public utility buildings (including schools and kindergartens), thanks to them after projects ending costs connected with buildings usage will be lower. Within the project over 18 thousands m2 of partition were insulated and 8 installation were modernized. 12 solar collectors have been installed. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (1878 Mg/year). Moreover, projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been funded under EEA funds. The Beneficiary emphasized that projects implementation has significant input in improvement of air quality.
