Description
The need for the project implementation results from low energy efficiency of public utility buildings in the Korfantów Commune, causing significant energy consumption for heating these buildings and resulting in high CO2 emission and pollution. The purpose of the project is improvement in energy efficiency in public utility buildings and increase in production of energy from renewable sources in the Korfantów Commune. The project implementation will yield the following results increase in the number of thermally modernized public utility buildings, replaced/modernized heat sources, installed machines, devices or systems using energy from renewable sources, capacity of installed machines, devices or systems using energy from renewable sources. Therefore the project will fully contribute to fulfilment of provisions of the Agreement concerning the Programme. For several years, a complex repair works have been conducted in public utility buildings for which the conducting authority is the Korfantów Commune. This fact causes gradual improvement in the technical and functional quality of elements of the buildings. Due to the large scale of projects and their cost consumption these works proceed slowly over many years and not in all establishments. The worn out central heating system and low efficiency of heating systems cause great failure rate, strongly increasing costs of operation of buildings, as well as costs under consumption of energy, heating. The direct beneficiary of the project will be the Korfantów Commune. Intermediate recipients will be students and teachers of schools covered by the project and employees of local authorities working in the office buildings as well as the inhabitants of the commune, their visitors, potential investors.
