Description
The hospital buildings covered by the project suffer from excessive use and loss of heat and electricity, poor conditions of patients and medical staff, increased environmental pollution, and high heating costs. The aim of the project is to improve the energy efficiency of the health facilities through thermo-modernization and the installation of energy-efficient lighting in the various buildings. The project will contribute to the reduction of environmental pollution, reduce the emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere, reduce the demand for heat and electricity, improve conditions for patients, and improve the working conditions of the staff. The thermal modernization work and installation of energy-efficient lighting will reduce the hospital's energy consumption by 43.74%, thereby also reducing its energy bills. The emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere will be reduced by 50%. These changes will benefit patients and hospital staff by improving both the general conditions at the facilities.
Summary of project results
Projects implementation has contributed to improving of energy and economic efficiency in the hospital. It was possible thanks to thermo-modernization and installation of energy-efficient lighting in the various buildings. Thermomodernisational works covered 3 public utility buildings. Within the project 146 RES devices have been installed and one internal installation modernized. Also integrated lighting has been replaced for ecological one. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (872.85 Mg/year). The project has contributed to reduction of environmental pollution and improve conditions for patients and working conditions of the staff.
