Description

The school building No. 1 comes from 1930, and built onto part from 1993, while the school building No. 2 was built in the 60s of the twentieth century. The present condition of the buildings causes a high demand for heat for heating buildings, as well as large energy consumption for ventilation systems and lighting embedded. The main objective of the project is to improve the energy efficiency of buildings elementary schools No. 1 and No. 2 in Brzeszcze through the thermo-modernization and the usage of renewable energy sources. The results of the project will be:Increase the number of thermo-modernized public buildings - 2 pcs, Increasing the number of installed machines, appliances or installations using energy from renewable sources, 321 pcs .: 1 heat pump and 2 x 160 pcs. (320 pcs.) photovoltaic cells. This project contains proven solutions that guarantee a significant reduction in demand for electricity and heat (as final energy), causing obtain a very good energy and environmental, ecological effect. With the infrastructure created by the project will benefit children attending schools and teachers, both women and men. Projects material scope has been extended, additional works have been co-financed under NFM

Summary of project results

The school building No. 1 comes from 1930, while the school building No. 2 was built in the 60s of the twentieth century. The condition of the buildings before projects implementation caused a high demand for heat, as well as large energy consumption for ventilation systems and lighting embedded. The main objective of the project was to improve the energy efficiency of buildings of elementary schools No. 1 and No. 2 in Brzeszcze through the thermo-modernization and the usage of renewable energy sources. Later, projects material scope has been extended, additional buildings were included and additional works have been co-financed under NFM. Thermomodernisational works covered 9 public utility buildings (schools and kindergartens). Within the project over 23,1 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, over 270 windows and doors were replaced. Modernised were interior installations, including ventilation, and heat node. Installed were heat pumps (8), power management systems and photovoltaic cells (616). Interior lighting was exchanged for ecological one. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (2166 Mg/year) and to increase energy production from RES (195 MWh/year). With the infrastructure created by the project benefit children attending schools and teachers, both women and men.
