Description

The project is needed to reduce the extremely high energy consumption of an almost 50 year old building. It consists of the improvement of the general standard of the building, the reduction of the running costs and a decrease in the energy consumption. The aim is to improve the energy efficiency of the building and its energy security. Moreover, the protection of the therapeutic microclimate is essential. The project will result in a reduction of emission of CO2 by 344.85 mg/year and a production of energy from renewable resources at 348.86 MWh/year. When completed, the project will have included the following activities: thermo-modernisation works in the Sanatorium Uzdrowiskowe Związku Nauczycielstwa Polskiego in Nałęczów, modernisation of the inefficient central heating system, including replacement of radiators, and cogeneration unit instalment. The main beneficiary of our project is the environment, the local community and our guests. The building is situated in the therapeutic zone which is marked with the letter A, indicating that the surrounding climate lowers blood pressure. For that reason it is very important to protect the climate in this area.

Summary of project results

The project was needed to reduce the extremely high energy consumption of an almost 50 year old building. It consisted of the improvement of the general standard of the building, the reduction of the running costs and a decrease in the energy consumption. The aim was to improve the energy efficiency of the building and its energy security. Moreover, the protection of the therapeutic microclimate was essential. Thermomodernisational works covered public utility building of a Health Resort Sanatorium (which is situated in the therapeutic zone which is marked with the letter A, indicating that the surrounding climate lowers blood pressure). Within the project over 4,8 thousands of m2 of partition were insulated, one interior installation was modernized and one device of high-efficiency cogeneration has been installed. Investment allowed to reduce CO2 emission (345 Mg/year) and to increase energy production from RES (349 MWh/year). The main beneficiary of project is the environment, the local community and Health Resort guests.
