Description

Constantly occurring changes in the environment and its negative impact on conservation of biodiversity cause climatic changes. This phenomenon reduces the extent of species prevalence, affects the reproductive cycles, vegetation and interactions with the environment. The objective of the project is to raise environmental awareness about biodiversity, how the change of climate affects it, and the economic value of the ecosystems in Nature 2000 areas. The project will improve the effectiveness of management and monitoring of Nature 2000 areas, develop social attitudes and pro-ecological behavior, and increase people’s involvement in environment protection. The project includes activities for children, young people and adults. The project involves creating a website promoting the Nature 2000 campaign, competitions and educational workshops, creation of three natural paths, organization of the event called “Under the wings of Nature 2000”, production of a nature film, and organization of three national conferences. The project will benefit people living in the Nature 2000 areas and the immediate vicinity, and the inhabitants of the Lubelszczyzna.
