Description

The aim of the project is integration into society of children and young people with functional disorders, as well as their family members, providing suitable environment and improvement of their skills, and communication abilities by the help of a healing therapy and consultations. The project target group is children and young people with different functional disorders, with health problems, their parents and peers. In order to implement the healing therapy program, it is planned to adjust premises in the pre-school educational establishments of Madona municipality establishing day-care centres. The main project activities involve creation of a friendly, adapted, equipped environment, provision of complex activities of healing therapy, organizing of educating lectures and seminars for parents, inviting professionals with adequate professional education and practical work experience, whose successful work is based on both knowledge and willingness to do the utmost work with children and help them.

Summary of project results

Society „Mēs saviem bērniem” with Society Integration foundation support is implemented project „Provision of social services and an inclusive environment for children and young people with various functional disorders Madona region”. Participated in the project Madona district, Varaklanu dictrict, Erglu district and Cesvaines district. The project had the opportunity to visit music therapy, therapy of sand, physiotherapy, montessori lessons, speech therapist lesson, canistherapy and psychotherapist lessons for parents. In total, the project was attended by 89 children and young people and 76 parents. Total generally implemented: 485 sand therapy, which visited the 71 children and young people; 485 music therapy, which visited the 61 children and young people; 402 physiotherapy, which visited the 63 children and young people; 250 canistherapy, which visited the 73 children and young people; 250 speech therapist, which visited the 44 children and young people; 421 montessori, which visited the 60 children and young people; 100 psychotherapist, which visited the 31 parents.
