Despite the fact that during the last decade many measures of road safety were implemented, infrastructure of roads was renewed, etc., however, the results are not satisfactory (especially in the area of pedestrians’ safety). In solving these problems it is necessary to evaluate the best practices of other countries in the organization of traffic safety. Norway has many years of experience in enhancing interinstitutional cooperation, the development of a sustainable model for traffic safety. This determines a low level of traffic accidents in this country.
