Description

Information is one of the biggest value in the 21th century. Success of the majority institutions belongs from the capability to get, save and share information. For the purpose of information sharing in the companies is installing new systems, which help to optimize their activities. While such measures are significantly speeding up work processes, there is a threat to the information security. Since different agencies use different communication and IT security measures, it is difficult to create a proper security methodology and recommend security measures without examining the prevailing market forces. For this reason will be performed a research, which will analyze Lithuanian companies and other institutions, information systems, their vulnerabilities, the used security measures, the most common violations damage restoration and repeated violations of the prevention of opportunities for crimes quest and so on. As the results of the research, a digital security teaching module will be prepared, which will provide the greatly expanded portfolio of security services in the flow of the target market, the apparent target market will satisfy consumer demand for local and international level. The training program of digital security identification will cover the electronic security perception gap in the Lithuania. Project activities will enable the operating information and mobilization systems. Project implementers will prepare teaching program for professional training and develop a "tool" for civic mobilization in the event of cyber-terrorism attack. Main activities and results: 1) supervisions (10 hours); 2) 2 project partners meetings and 2 seminars; 3) 2 scientific articles; 4) 2 guidelines; 5) 2 digital security teaching module.

Summary of project results

The main result of the project is the prepared teaching module “CYBER SECURITY” (including practical exercises), which provide the greatly expanded portfolio of security services in the flow of the target market, the apparent target market will satisfy consumer demand for local and international level. Teaching module “CYBER SECURITY” will be used at Kaunas Information Technology School and also will be integrated into Borgarholtsskóli learning program.

Summary of bilateral results

There were organized two meetings with all partners. First of them was in Iceland and the second one was in Lithuania. During the visits were organized workshops and discussions with representatives of the various areas of digital security issues. Representatives prepared presentations on digital security practice in Norway, Iceland and Lithuania, shared best Norwegian and Icelandic schools and specific their expertise in the fight against digital crime. All partners can use the digital security training module created during the project.
