Description

The problems of existing Jewish organizations are the unconscious operation and the lack of knowledge about fundraising and effective communication. They are not able to show themselves or they are seen differently. The main objective of the project is to make the alliance become a supportive basis for the Hungarian Jewish organizations and to make the members more visible and known. The project promoter will assess the needs of members, and define the necessary activities. The project aims to realize sub-websites for each member in order to promote them in front of volunteers and possible partners. The project promoter will implement an assessment of needs including questionnaires and interviews, will organize conferences, workshops, information days with several lectures on different settlements and will elaborate a common media campaign. The target group includes the membership of the alliance: 16 organizations that means about 10-15000 people between the age of 15 and 70.

Summary of project results

The problems of existing Jewish organizations are the unconscious operation and the lack of knowledge about fundraising and effective communication. They are not able to show themselves or they are seen differently. The main objective of the project was to make the alliance become a supportive basis for the Hungarian Jewish organizations and to make the members more visible and known. The project promoter concluded a situation analysis (online questionnaire and interviews with the representatives of member organizations) on which the organizational development thematic was built. The development process was realized in a complex program with workshops (e.g. strategy planning, fundraising, campaigns), lectures (project writing) and round table discussions (future planning). The Kibic picnics were also complex programs – one in Budapest and one in Debrecen – In order to ensure publicity for the members and help them be represented. 6 informational days were organized in different towns of the country in order to map the possible cooperation fields. A database was also created about the members and with the possibility of other organizations to sign up. The federation enhanced the online commutation of its members, and during the project implementation the president of the federation participated monthly a radio show in which he and a representative presented the member organizations. The project contributed to the publicity of the member organizations and at the same time the project promoter was strengthened so it became a supportive alliance for its members. The networking activity among the members was enhanced, they have bigger trust in each other, they became a supportive base. Both the federation and its members visibility grew, their presentations are becoming better and more efficient. The trainings contributed the impact-focused thinking thus members now better see the advantages of the network.
