Summary of project results

The project aimed at introducing LGBT mediation in Hungary. Due to social prejudice, homophobia and the lack of legal and social recognition of LGBT community and various conflicts arising from these, the project of Primus Inter Pares Foundation has become necessary. The project has been successful, the planned activities and outputs have been achieved; both the mediator professionals and the affected social group have been informed about the method, and deepened their knowledge in training sessions and conferences. The sustainability is ensured by improving the methods of civil communities and mediators, and applying these methods in practice. The major beneficiaries are the members of the affected communities, whose awareness has been increased and who have acquired better methods for resolving conflicts by obtaining knowledge about these methods. With the help of the project PIPA Foundation also intended to improve equal opportunities and increase awareness.
