Description

Disabled people don’t have equal opportunities. A lot of them are able to work but they have little chance in the labor market due to prejudices. Because of their low employment rate, they have social problems, and they can’t experience social living together. The project's overall objective is to eliminate prejudices regarding disabled people, increase social awareness, emphasize their equal opportunity and human rights, demonstrate their abilities. The short term goals are through organizing the 'JOB for you, DREAM for me! Day' to reduce social prejudices towards people with disabilities, to bring together employers and potential employees with disabilities for securing space for people with disabilities to spend half-day at jobs with a mentor from the workplace in order to gain experience, to carry out a media campaign for reaching national level expansion of the approach. The expected outcome is that personal meetings with disabled people will decrease prejudices, in this way disabled people get more opportunities. Due to long-term cooperation with partners, the JOB for you, DREAM for me!
