Isolated, urban, unqualified mainly young Roma people struggling with learning difficulties and living in extreme poverty have no decent institutionalised or community relations. They have been cast outside the institution system of society and have no perspectives. To provide a perspective and promote the integration of young people beyond hope. Facilitating the establishment and operation of a buffet with the integration of neglected young Roma people. Selecting participants, creating the brand of the buffet, product development, creating the interior, obtaining equipment, marketing, operation and management. Young people involved, their acquaintances and the visitors of the buffet.
Summary of project results
Közért Association grounded „Bodager” Buffet and Fast Food Restaurant in their currently operating Youth Club. This gastro-project made it possible for the young - mainly Roma - participants who live in extreme poverty and lack institutional relations and community ties to run the business with appropriate control and coaching, and to maintain the Youth Club through their own work. Meanwhile, the project showed attractive and realistic perspectives for the young people. The joint project ensured effective community work and activities of community development, reduced prejudices against the Roma by familiarising Roma gastronomic culture. Key activities of the „Bodager” project were: - creating the brand; - product- and enterprise development; - establishing functioning framework of management, operation and monitoring. In the course of the project numerous volunteer experts were involved from the spheres of communication and catering, enterprising.
