Description

We would like to present a good practice to show the benefits of cooperation between NGOs and the institutions of child protection - which is a governmental institution-system at the moment. Our two main target groups are the children and the experts of these institutions. We will involve them by launching a call for children to apply with poster-plans about human values. We will make an series of events around this application where the work of participating children can be honored and also conferences for experts and NGOs of the relevant regions will be organized. We think that new contacts and all the experience gained from the project can make the implementation of daily routine much smoother and also can give a good base for finding and organizing new initiatives - this will serve the interest of all involved parties.

Summary of project results

The purpose of Baltazar Theate Foundation's 12+ project was to offer valuable, creativity-based activity for foster home children and youth aged 8-18. This activity combined with cultural components and some publicity gave the idea of 12+ call for creative proposals and the country-wide program-serial connected to it. As a part of the program an exhibition with the 126 pictures sent for the call has been set up in 7 different regions of Hungary. The message of this exhibition was clear and loud, spoke about the talented creative minds hidden in foster homes of Hungary. As an important part of the concept all 7 locations had "outsider" audience as well. All components of the project was planned to be easily repeatable, while many of the side-achievements such as the development of inner communication within the governmental system of foster homes comes with long term benefits for all participants.
