Description

Children are socialized in a malformed pattern of behavior and way of thinking because of the racist expressions against Roma people thus children pick up the prejudicial attitudes of adults. The main objective of the project is to equalize social differences between Roma and non-Roma youth in order to make youth to learn more about the Roma ethnographical history and traditions. The project aims to develop the project promoter’s educational model what contains creative fine art elements; and to strengthen collaboration with civic organizations, volunteers, schools and parents. During the project implementation children can take part in creative trainings and workshops, also teachers and volunteers will participate in a methodical training. At the end participating children will make a common performance that is based on Roma legends of origin. Experience will be negotiated in a round table discussion. The target group includes 15-25-year-old disadvantaged youth living in Budapest and marginalized countryside regions.
