Description
This action is necessary because more and more citizens of Karlovac seeking social support and has no income sufficient for basic existence. There are a lot of citizens who sent the request for the use of the center for the homeless. A lot of people are not familiar with these problems that are found in our environment and it is therefore necessary to include as many people volunteer to be an awareness of the problem has changed. A lot of people want to volunteer, but it often happens that there is no concrete action in which it can be demonstrated. Unfortunately, only some natural disasters can be seen that a large number of people ready to assist at any time and show a lot of happiness. For this reason, this action with gathering volunteers and their involvement in social problem citizens karlovca, is extremely good. Employment assistance, consulting, sense of belonging and friendship, the feeling of one big family, IT training, help customization and integration into normal life- are issues we want to achieve with this project.
Summary of project results
Action brought together volunteers who want to give their contribution in a way to help citizens that are socially vulnerable and who live below the poverty line. In addition action provided opportunity to end users to learn how to use computer, also education gave them a basic knowledge of how to access information on the labour market, how to write biography which is required when submitting document for getting a job, how to use e-mail, how to use Internet an so on. The benefit of the action have a homeless people and socially most vulnerable citizens gaining basic knowledge that is needed to get involved in the labour market.
