Description

"Who is not active, participates" is a project that is focused on active participation of children and youth with behaviour problems so in order to influence prevention of violence. The method is a forum theatre and educative experience workshops. Project is aimed at youth in the institutions: residential homes for children and youth with behaviour problems, aged between 12 and 18., since they are in higher risk of violence as the ones who do violence but also as victims. Higher risk is the result of risk and bad life circumstances; families with problems that are marginalised in community. Goal of the project is to lower and to prevent violent behaviour, using the role of violent person or victim itself. Project is planned in six main stages/activities: Forum-story using subjects specific for that group in risk, using educative experience workshops of same subjects as forum- stories, forum- workshop for youth and their public performance which contributes to awareness and strengthens the participants, education and theatre performances, strengthening their civil competences, developing self esteem and self respect and their social skills.

By making civil competences higher, development of respect, self-respect and social skills have been reached, which contributes to primary and secondary prevention of violence among children and youth. Forum workshops have been carried out for members in which they made their own forum story about problems and difficulties they are experiencing.
