Description

Due to the growing radicalization of society caused by the economic crisis and the crisis of democracy, combined with a lack of content in the formal education system, it is necessary to improve civic and organizational competencies for democracy, protection and promotion of minority rights.  Long-term goal of the project is to raise awareness, educate and include citizens in the promotion and protection of human rights and democratization.Expected outcomes are to transfer knowledge and experience in HR protection and promotion and integration of citizens, youth, teachers and activists in educational programs of the Centre for Peace Studies and strengthen the infrastructure and quality of their work in managing organizations. Partners cooperate in the development of 5 curricula and the implementation of 4 programs: Peace Studies, Youth Studies, teacher training and DemoAcademy for 95 participants through 500 hours of education, 10 public lectures and deliberative processes in communities for 150 different stakeholders in Osijek, Zagreb and Rijeka. Promotional materials are publicized and presented, alongside three program brochures, Youth studies bulletin and a Peace Studies reader. Preconditions for the verification of programs and the development of the educational institution are made.
