Description

The project gives emphasis on participatory democracy, information and awareness for active citizenship and the Protection of the Rights of Different. Through the project CYCLISIS aims to promote Democratic Education of students aged 11-15 as Acts of Dialogue. This is achieved through workshops held using World Café technique (discussion groups in the presence of a moderator) - training teachers in the use of the technique in their role as moderator and the recording of findings - developing research using questionnaires, which will distribute the involved teachers and from which will emerge the basic queries- topics of the meetings with the technical world café. Another goal of this project will be the collection of information and all important data in one version - creating video animation 10-15 long 'focusing the main conclusions of the discussions with children and to raise awareness in education, of educational policy makers and others on the emerging political consciousness to conform with democratic values, eliminate the conflict rests on introspection, bigotry, and promotion of dialogue and equivocate.

Summary of project results

During the project Cyclisis conducted experiential seminars for 40 teachers of both Primary and Secondary Education, and put into practice world cafe techniques in a total of participation of 600 students of Achaia schools. The project’s website was developed to presents the procedures and results of the sessions, as well as hosting the online educational platform 'Making of Citizens' which includes material distributed in six (6) Main Topics (Thematic Modules). The key messages received in the sessions were included in the relevant Publication developed, as were the results of Investigation of students Perspectives on Diversity and the concept of Citizenship. A series of five (5) videos animation of total duration of 12 minutes, was also developed, available through YouTUBE, in order to visualize our world cafe Implementation Guide on the subject of Democracy, and give a statistical signal of our work and interactions, while, furthermore, communicating the educational content of the online training tool to wider Educational meetings of county officers for Cultural and Environmental Activities. The project responded adequately to its objectives. More than 600 direct beneficiaries pupils aged 11 to -15, 13 schools, an active core of 40 educators as Mentors for Democratic Education, 100 creative impressions of Equality from an equally distributed number of students, that participated in the sessions, promoted to the Children's Art Museum and a significant number of recipients in Social Media and the Panhellenic School Network.

Summary of bilateral results
