Electronic signing, authentication and management of documents is an increasing development area as digital signature is now used in all countries of the European Union and Scandinavia. The project is aimed at solving low-security and ineffectiveness of cross-borders signed document management. Project aims to create a web-based solution that has a pan-European capability for electronical authentication and document signing by one or more parties, secure cross-border document management and stamping of documents. Solution Signwise lies on electronic identification certificates issued to the citizens of European Union member states and therefore offers a legally equal alternative to hand-written signatures. Project will result with compatible technologies that are enabling electronical signing by the end of 2015.
Summary of project results
This Project was needed to expand the use of electronic signing, authentication and management of documents in Europe and Scandinavia. The results are sustained through the new market entries as well as growing the customer bases in all target markets. The objective of the project was to develop a service that would reduce time and optimizes both human and financial resources by enabling sharing and eSigning of documents in any format underpinned by strong user authentication. Signwise solution is protected against Cyber Fraud and it can also be integrated into any organization’s information systems and/or online services. All planned project activities have been completed and planned functionalities have been fully developed. The solution has been elaborated, hence the outcome of the solution is considered reached. Project promoter has presented the operations and essence of the Signwise platform, which has been recognized and approved both by IT-expert and implementing agency. Project was implemented as inner-Estonian project with no international partners involved.
