Description

The project addresses successful integration of the Roma and Turkish minority in the local community. The project aims at reducing racism, xenophobia and intolerance by creating an environment for multicultural communication and involving minority members in it. First, an information campaign on being tolerant in our daily life will be launched. Second, 30 young people will be trained during 3 workshops on tolerance and multicultural interaction. Third, a round table for teachers working in a multicultural environment and a meeting for parents of children living in such an environment will be held. Finally, children and adolescents will be able to learn about tolerance and multicultural communication through a series of events: a story contest, a painting contest. The project will benefit the Roma and Turkish minorities in Silistra District as well as local children and adolescents and the community in general.
