Summary of project results

The project addressed the need of people with disabilities to acquire computer literacy in order to enjoy equal access to information, develop the skills needed for independent living and ultimately overcome their social exclusion. It enabled people with disabilities from the town of Kyustendil to have access to computers and the internet, to communicate independently, using the internet as a means of interaction and a source of information as well as entertainment. The access provided to digital services under this project bridged the gap between people with access to technology and those without a computer at hand in the target group. The project resulted in an improved quality of life and social adaptability via access to digital services. All project participants from the target group found many of their friends in the social media and thus they attracted new like-minded people and supporters to the cause of Courage Association.
