Description

The project addresses the need to boost the capacity of the applicant to enable it to ensure its sustainability. The project aims at boosting the applicant’s capacity through a series of trainings of the applicant’s staff. First, 3 staff members will attend a 2-day training on good practices related to cooperation between the business, the academia and NGOs. Next, an online survey will study interaction between the stakeholders. Second, based on the survey findings, 3 one-day seminars will take place in Sofia, Ruse and Varna to raise the awareness of 150 businessmen, teachers and students about sustainable development and entrepreneurship. Finally, the applicant’s staff will attend 2 in-house trainings on financial and administrative management of NGOs and modern communication channels. The project will benefit the applicant as well as the business, the academia and relevant NGOs. The partner will carry out the in-house trainings and supervise the pilot activities.

Summary of project results

The mission of Ecosystem Europe Association is to inspire change in society towards a new economy and way of thinking, support the creation of a conducive environment for access to innovative, flexible and attractive applications for achieving balance between the environment, the economy and the public and cultivate knowledge and skills of young people for successful development and facing new challenges. To achieve its mission, the organization needed to boost its capacity. The team of the organization was trained on site under the project in three areas: Conditions and Mechanisms of Relations between Students, Teachers and Entrepreneurs; Financial and Administrative Management of NGOs and Contemporary Methods and Conditions of Communication with Stakeholders and Networks. In addition, the attitude towards cooperation between the stakeholders, i.e. the business, educational establishments and NGOs, was studied under the project. Based on the findings of the survey, three one-day workshops were carried out in Sofia, Rousse and Varna in the form of meetings of businessmen with teachers and pupils. The following deliverables were prepared under the project: a Code of Conduct for work in Ecosystem Europe, a system for internal financial control and a mechanism for assessment of the quality of the results achieved, a database of stakeholders, sources of financing and partnership networks.
