Summary of the results

The bilateral initiative between Drama’s Ladies Union - House of Open Hospitality (LDU) and the Norwegian NGO "Alternative to Violence" (ATV) involved a study trip to Oslo, Norway, from October 9th to 12th, 2022. The mission aimed to strengthen collaboration, exchange knowledge, and explore new partnerships in the fields of gender-based violence and social inclusion. The delegation met with key Norwegian organisations, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they discussed LDU’s ongoing projects, particularly those focused on supporting victims of violence. They also visited the Reform – Resource Centre for Men, which addresses gender equality and men’s issues, and explored potential synergies in combating gender-based violence. At ATV, the group learned about their work in therapy, research, and training related to domestic violence. The trip also included a visit to the Equality and Anti-Discrimination Ombud, an independent body focused on human rights and equality, and concluded with a tour of the Matsentralen Food Bank, which provides meals to those in need and supports the social reintegration of vulnerable individuals.
