Description
As part of the projekt, we want to strengthen the competencies of our team by funding training on defining the tasks and responsibilities of board members, implementation and accounting of projects and working with volunteers. Development activities will also include the creation of a development strategy and communication plan, the purchase of multimedia equipment, the publication of articles in the media, a fundraising campaign and the creation of a website. These activities result from the needs we have diagnosed in the area of the organisation''s operation and development. In preparing them, we cooperated with the Social Economy Support Centre, which supported us at the stage of registering our Foundation.
Summary of project results
Our organization aims to increase access to culture and physical culture, especially for people at risk of social exclusion. We want to provide access to culture and physical culture and reduce the risk of social exclusion for all those who need this help. We have planned numerous training courses to improve the competences of our staff and co-workers, so that we can help more people more efficiently and confidently. We have welcomed 5 new volunteers to the Foundation team, ready to help us implement further activities, we have established business and partnership relations with organizations operating in our immediate environment. We have equipped the Foundation with the necessary equipment to enable further development of our activities with the comfort of our participants in mind. An excellent example is the purchased projector, which will allow us to project presentations for a larger number of people in more comfortable conditions than the laptop we used before joining the AOFR program.
Thanks to our participation in the ACFR Program, we managed to create our own website, publish 3 articles on a local website to reach a wider audience, we developed a development strategy for the Foundation for 2024-2028 and a communication plan, thanks to which we feel more confident as a young organization. Throughout the duration of the grant, we conducted artistic and sports classes and educational workshops for children and youth from the Care and Education Center in Legnica, where children and youth could learn, among other things, cooperation, the possibility of artistic expression of their emotions, healthy sports competition and coping with stressful situations. The group of children and youth participating in the project had the opportunity to become active, but also to break the routine, which is not without significance in the situation of staying under the care of the Care and Education Center often for several years, and above all, access to culture, physical culture and extracurricular education was increased. The results we managed to achieve open up new possibilities for our organization. Trained and competent staff is an opportunity for us to conduct new activities, establish new partnerships, obtain new grants and donations. The Foundation''s development strategy for 2024-2028 is a very helpful document for us, which suggests what steps the organization should take so that our development goes as planned. The division of duties, which we did not have before, made us aware of the specific roles we play in the organization and everyone is responsible for their tasks, not everyone for everything. As part of training related to institutional development, we trained ourselves (the board), 5 new volunteers and 2 people from two other non-governmental organizations. We gained contacts with organizations from our immediate environment, which seemed impossible at the beginning of the project, because we thought that no one would want to cooperate with such a young organization, and to our surprise, the organizations are open and willing to joint projects. To sum up, thanks to participation in the program, we were able to help children and young people from the Care and Education Center through classes, increase the competences of staff and co-workers thanks to training, equip ourselves with equipment that would have been beyond our reach if not for the grant, and establish relationships that lead us to new projects.
Benefits of the activities carried out:
- counteracting social exclusion and increasing the integration and social activation of the pupils of the Care and Education Center in Legnica through artistic and sports activities and educational workshops
- increasing the skills of the Foundation''s staff in the field of managing human and financial resources through training of staff and co-workers
- increasing the number of volunteers by 5 people
- increasing the recognition of the Foundation and its brand by sharing posts on Facebook, launching a website, distributing leaflets with an invitation to 2 exhibitions of works by participants of artistic classes (post statistics), meetings with potential partners and presentation of carried out and planned activities
