Description

We use this grant to develop the potential of our organisation by strengthening its management and professional image as well as financial condition by developing fundraising skills of our employees and volunteers. In addition, in this project we want to counteract the social exclusion of families in the Oława Municipality and deepen their integration in the local environment. It is important for us to strengthen ourselves in the local environment.

Summary of project results

The project aimed to solve several important problems in the Oława commune. First of all, it responded to the challenge of limited access to educational activities and activities developing social skills for children and youth from small towns. The region lacked initiatives that could engage young people in constructive activities, which in the long run influenced their development and social integration.

Another problem that the project was supposed to answer was the need to activate residents and strengthen their involvement in the life of the local community. In particular, this concerned groups that were excluded or professionally inactive, such as unemployed people, seniors and working parents who did not have access to integration events. The project aimed to create a space where residents could actively cooperate, develop interpersonal skills and build a sense of community.

Additionally, the project responded to the challenge of insufficient support in the area of civic education. The workshops and other activities were aimed at increasing participants'' awareness of their role in the community and encouraging them to actively participate in public life. Thanks to this, the project aimed to build a more aware and integrated society that will be willing to act together for the benefit of its region.

From September 2023 to mid-March 2024, 28 workshops were carried out for families from the Oława commune, attended by a total of 62 people. These activities were aimed at integrating the local community, developing skills and building interpersonal bonds. The organization strives to support integration by connecting children and parents, with particular emphasis on people in difficult life situations. The Foundation sees its role not only in organizing social, cultural and ecological activities but also in establishing relationships. The foundation''s strategic goals by the end of April 2024 include the professionalization of its operation by increasing the competences of the staff, developing an economization plan and increasing recognition in the local community and in Lower Silesia. The organization''s development plan assumes building lasting relationships with recipients by actively listening to their opinions and needs, organizing open meetings and communication. The Foundation strives to create a lasting presence in the local community, based on trust and commitment, which is intended to increase the chances of future economic independence.

The achieved results of the grant are important because they contribute to strengthening the local community through intergenerational integration. The grant was also successfully implemented in the long term, as it will leave behind lasting support for the local community and increased social awareness.
