Description

With this grant we are creating a visual brand identity and building a professional, accessible website for our organisation. We are carrying out a series of training and cooperating with a tutor who supports our team. In this way, we want to increase the quality and effectiveness of our activities. In addition, as part of this project, we are increasing the competences of residents of the Skarżysko-Kamienna municipality in conducting dialogue and introducing new ways and methods of public consultation. We use them during the meetings we organise on the topics of ecology, participation and sustainable development.

Summary of project results

The implementation of the project was to help us increase the competences needed to run a non-governmental organization, strengthen the team and improve the recognition of the People of Nature Foundation on a local and national scale. The grant was to enable us to create a brand identity and a professional, barrier-free website.
Additionally, the project activities were to show new ways of conducting public consultations for the local community.

As part of the "Management and development of organizational resources" activity, organizational meetings of the entire Foundation team were held, during which we developed internal procedures for communication and work organization. We took part in many training courses offered by the grantor and in 3 training courses financed by the grant: digital marketing, Canva use and website content management.

As part of the "Building the image and communication of the organization" activity, a brand identification was created, the result of which was used to create a professional website of the Foundation and to design and order advertising materials. As part of this activity, we also organized a press breakfast, during which we summarized the project''s activities and results.

As part of the "Dialog Meetings" activity, we conducted 3 meetings in a place adapted for people with disabilities. We talked about the following topics:
1. “How to eat healthily in times of crisis?”
2. “The boar is wild, but is it that bad?”
3. “Volunteering at school, does it work?”

As part of the "Publication of the quarterly" activity, we developed, printed and delivered a quarterly magazine to residents, from which they had the opportunity to learn about the activities of our and other local organizations and institutions, but also about how they can influence what''s happening in our city. The publication includes educational articles on ecology, sustainable development and activities for the common good in the local community. We also presented a summary of our conversations conducted as part of activity No. 3. Additionally, our publication received an ISSN number - an eight-digit unique identifier of traditional and electronic serial publications.

As part of the project, we implemented:
- 3 dialogue meetings attended by 28 people. The results of dialogue are subtle and difficult to notice. We noticed that the participants very quickly understood the principles of dialogue presented by us and noticed the validity of their application. We receive good signals from participating institutions that they are willing to engage our facilitators in conducting dialogue-based public consultations.
- 3 publications of the quarterly Wspólnota - each circulation is 4,000 pieces. 3,000 items were distributed directly to residents'' boxes. The rest was distributed to shops, institutions and service places in the city.
- 1 website that we want to develop further - it allows us to reach local and supra-local recipients.
- 1 meeting with the local press - we invited the local press and people regularly participating in the Foundation''s activities to a "press breakfast". Unfortunately, the date was unfavorable because it fell during the election campaign and just before Easter, so the turnout was lower than expected.
- team evaluation meetings - it is difficult for us to determine the number of such meetings, because they were organized on an ongoing basis, always before dialogues and before starting work on a new edition of the quarterly.
- 1 visual identification package - it gives us a framework within which we can move when creating graphics and posters. The logo that we all identify with also gives us a sense of belonging. Establishing visual identification has significantly improved our work.
- 1 manual containing the organization''s internal procedures; it is not written down, but each of us knows what each member is responsible for and who to contact with questions about a specific task.
- 5 trained members and 2 volunteers who took part in various trainings depending on their competences and tasks within the foundation. Everyone took part in website training.
