Description
Thanks to support within the Techsoup program, our organization uses Microsoft products under favorable conditions. A few years ago, we built our intranet based on Microsoft 365. Considering that the HW on which our organization''s accounting and other important applications run, is already a long time past its planned useful life, we decided to transfer these solutions to the cloud. In addition, the number of our projects, staff and volunteers is growing, so it is necessary to change the system of access rights in our intranet.
Summary of project results
The ICT solution was operated both in an on-premise environment (own physical HW) and in the cloud using Microsoft 365 services (SaaS). The main problem was solutions operated on-premise. A1 Analysis of IT solutions
In collaboration with Cloudiga and the IT administrator, an assessment of the IT solution that can be moved to the Cloud was carried out and the documents/folders to be migrated to Sharepoint were defined
A2 Migration of documents
Setting up the structure in Sharepoint (team sites, groups, folders, roles and assigning users and then moving documents
A3 Getting the cloud environment up and running
Cloudiga applied for an Azure Sponsorship donation and prepared a cloud environment to migrate an accounting program that initial analysis identified as suitable for migration
A4 Migration of IT solutions and test operation
IT administrators, in cooperation with Cloudiga, proceeded with the migration of the Money accounting program and the subsequent testing of the Money program
A5 Running the solution in MS Azure
After test operation and debugging of deficiencies, launch of the Money accounting program in sharp operation
A6 Removal of migrated IT solutions from on-premise
Uninstall the solution and delete the data
The project was intended for employees of the organization - a total of 101 employees were supported.

- Moving data to the cloud environment
- Remote data access
As part of the project, the necessary team, components, roles, groups were created and configured. According to these parameters, we can set access to data for workers according to their needs and position in the organization. The solution contributed to safe operation and saving funds for new HW.
The move to the cloud and the provision of secure remote access have brought an increase in the security and efficiency of the operation of IT solutions. The achieved changes contributed to the overall improvement of the organization''s IT infrastructure, making it more efficient, easier and faster for employees to work.
