Description

Oblikovanje prostora d.o.o. is a company based in Donji Muć (HR 03 Adriatic Croatia). The company was founded in August 2010. The main activity of the Company is production of metal doors and windows. In its operations, the company is focused on two basic activities: the production of "custom made" aluminum and glass products and the production of its own branded aluminum-glass products.

Currently the production is carried out on technologically outdated machines (the production line for glass and vertical CNC machine are from 2003). They are almost completely amortized, often have malfunctions that cause direct and indirect costs, due to repairs and frequent work stoppages. Likewise, the equipment has some limitations such as lower productivity, lower processing precision, insufficient speed, and thus higher cost of the finished product and longer delivery times. Through this project, the Promoter will invest in modern equipment with significantly better performance than the equipment currently used in its production facility.

Investment in new equipment will lead to implementation of new technologies and will increase the capacity and the competitiveness of the company. It will help the company to improve and to reach new customers. With this sequipment it will be possible to produce "custom made" alu-glass products intended for A-class clients. New equipment will also be more energy efficient and will therefore contribute to reduction of CO2 emissions.

Summary of project results

The main activity of the Promoter is the production of metal doors and windows. From 2021 the Company is experiencing extremely high demand from domestic and foreign investors, especially in construction, to which the Company''s core business is closely related. The Company didn''t have sufficient capacity for the required production of glass and aluminum products, which was caused by outdated and inefficient technology in the production process. That made the Company consider the options for investment in equipment with the latest technological achievements and significantly better performance. That kind of investment would insure further growth and long-term positioning in the market, with further business development towards the production of products with high added value.

The project is based on investing in two new state-of-the-art machines: 5-axis Vertical NC Working center for glass processing and 5-axis Machining center for processing aluminum profiles.

Project Promoter has successfully finalized the project implementation in March 2024. The  project''s primary activities included the purchase, installation, and use of more advanced, energy-efficient equipment. The project included investing in new machinery:

1. Vertical NC Working center for glass processing, model: Advance 633, producer Denver s.r.l.

2. Machining center for processing aluminium profiles, model: AF510, producer Schuco

The project''s implementation and the purchase of new, cutting-edge machinery have improved the business efficiency and competitiveness, doubled the production of glass products, reduced energy consumption per unit of product, and made it possible to expand the product line by hiring more staff.

Project Output Indicator from the Contract has been reached:

2 Innovative green technologies/processes/solutions applied (new to the enterprise) - 1 for glass processing and 1 for processing aluminium profiles.
