Description
The project aims to reduce the occurrence of domestic violence in the local community by improving the quality of relations in the family unit. The Miłki Commune will establish a Family Centre with an integrated model - all units working on achieving the project goals will function in one location. This centralization will guarantee effective cooperation and interdisciplinary support offered to the project participants. The Family Centre will be composed of: Communal Social Welfare Centre, Interdisciplinary Team for Counteracting Violence, Commission for Solving Alcohol-related Problems, Complex of Educational Institutions, Consultation Point for Addiction Therapy, Psychological Assistance Point.
It’s planned to establish cooperation by signing agreements with: Cultural Centre, Primary School in Staświny, Primary School in Rydzewo, Police Station in Wydminy, Local Health Centre, Social Housing Association “Lepiej” and Centre for Social Integration.
All the involved institutions will contribute to the effective implementation of the model, which will result in broadening the local community knowledge on the prevention of domestic violence, reducing its’ scale, increasing the quality of interactions, and awareness in the area of the interpersonal relations quality.
In order to reach the disabled people with information about the project, the project promoter will provide a clear layout of posters and leaflets, and the information created for the website will be written in large font and subdued colours will be used. Meetings will be held in rooms adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. Compliance with the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination will be ensured at the recruitment stage by planning information and promotional activities that do not exclude or stereotype any gender through graphics or language. Information and promotional activities will be carried out in accordance with the principles of non-discrimination.
