Description
Project creates a bridge connecting volunteers from Czech scouting organization, Interpreting of Czech Sign Language students,and deaf and hard of hearing people. Public talks, events and workshops are organized by scouts, students practise interpretation in real life situations and thanks to their collaboration there is an opportunity for deaf people to take part in activities which would otherwise be inaccessible for them.There is a fairly large community of deaf and hard of hearing people in Hradec Králové, as well as sign language interpreters. This project offers an active participation and locals could profit from this unused potential.
