Organisational Grant - implementation of the submitted strategy.
The Kuyavian-Pomeranian Federation of Non-Governmental Organisations is a federation which means an agreement between a network of organisations as well as a community in which member organisations plan, make decisions and implement their activities together. We are a representative of the non-governmental community and an advocate. We create space for advocacy and cooperate with public entities. As part of our strategy, we are developing another functions of the ‘federation’: an infrastructure organisation offering services to member organisations and to the non-governmental sector in the region as well as an expert organisation acting as a civic think-tank. In the perspective of the 6-year strategy, we want to become an even more active organisation with strengthened and sustainable relations between member organisations. We will strengthen our advocacy role through new forms of action, tools and by using the potential of our expert base (the Good Law Forum). Our experience in providing opinions on solutions in the public sphere, conducting debates, carrying out research and preparing analyses will make us an expert organisation expressing opinions on issues important for the third sector and creating solutions. In implementing the strategy, we will engage our resources and those of our member organisations. We will use the method of working groups and our previous experience, institutional contacts and our visibility in the third sector. We will continuously verify and modify our goals and examine the achievement of indicators. We will conduct an external evaluation as well as the monitoring of the quality and effectiveness of our activities.
Summary of project results
The institutional grant was used to implement the Federation''s Development Strategy for 2022-2026, in which we indicated four areas of activity and development. The grant was particularly important in terms of expanding the Federation''s activities with a module of an "infrastructure organization" with a service offer and proposals for member organizations, as well as the non-governmental community in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. Further towards creating activities in the "expert organization" module, not only active in representing the non-governmental environment, but gradually becoming a civic think-tank, taking up issues important for the future of the non-governmental environment. The grant was also intended to help develop internal relations in the Federation (we call this module of activities "understanding and communities of organizations"), including improving forms of contact and areas of cooperation, as well as disseminating the value of networking in the third sector, including: by disseminating the activities of member organizations and their presence in the Federation, as well as conducting advocacy activities and developing civic participation (the "environmental representative and spokesman" module).
Thanks to funding from the Active Citizens Program - Regional Fund, we implemented each of the five goals of our strategy: in order to [1] ensure the activity of member organizations and their integration, the grant funds helped us implement the "doyen model", improve the information policy and disseminate the activities of member organizations, in order to [2] develop the membership base and integrate the sector in the region, we have prepared a campaign disseminating the activities of the Federation and its members (including 16 dissemination films), integration meetings III sector and the "Proven Organization" certification, in order to [3] create and provide a service offer for member organizations by focusing our activities on building an infrastructure organization, we developed an action plan for an infrastructure organization, we conducted four meetings and training courses lasting several days for the development of NGOs and we carried out 3 foreign study visits, In order to [4] develop advocacy activities and their effectiveness, we have implemented new tools and advocacy activities (including: surveys, films about advocacy) and we have developed an action plan for a civic think-tank, and in order to [5] economize the Federation and ensure the diversification of its revenues, an idea for fundraising activities among natural persons.
Thanks to the support of the Grant, our Federation operates much more efficiently, implements specific solutions and ideas (advocacy, fundraising, integration), our members received specific support (including four thematic training courses lasting several days, foreign trips focused on study visits, assistance in conducting dissemination activities). , and a significantly larger number of non-governmental organizations from the region took advantage of our proposals (including participation in NGO certification, competitions to support activities, education). Our group of member organizations has increased by 6 more entities, our members have received several forms of support tailored to their needs (including finances, organization management, dissemination of its activities), and our advocacy and consulting activities have been expanded by taking up new topics advocacy, but also diversifying the forms of their activities. At the same time, we have several specific solutions that we will continue immediately after using the grant and will implement in the following years.
