Description

In this project, we are raising citizens’ awareness and empathy about the inequalities of children and young people with special educational needs. Our main goal is to build an inclusive culture in 12 primary schools in the West Pomeranian Province. We raise awareness and knowledge of special educational needs among 120 school students and 12 teachers. We conclude volunteer agreements with six people representing the Youth Parliament of the West Pomeranian Province and provide training for them. We organise animation meetings led by persons from the Youth Parliament of the West Pomeranian Province in 12 participating schools (for about 120 participants). We are implementing an educational camp for 6 animators, 12 teachers and 24 school students, as well as information and education campaigns for local school communities. The effect of the project will be to increase the knowledge of school students and teachers in 12 primary schools in the West Pomeranian Province of special educational needs as well as to counteract stereotypes concerning this group of school students.
