Summary of project results

The aim of the project is the reconstruction and modernization of 2 public buildings in Shabla Municipality - the District Fire Safety Service and the Shabla Municipality building and the introduction of energy efficiency measures. The implementation of the measures set out in the project will achieve improvement in the energy performance of the buildings and their transformation into buildings with close to zero consumption.

The implementation of the project will achieve better working conditions for employees in the two buildings included in the project. At the same time, the improvements in the buildings will allow improving the quality of services provided to residents in the area. This contributes to reducing economic and social disparities in the EEA by reducing them specifically between urban centers and structurally weak peripheral regions in Bulgaria. As a result, favorable conditions are achieved for social cohesion and engagement of the local population, stimulating new initiatives for economic growth.

With the reconstruction and modernization of the two public buildings in Shabla Municipality - District Fire Safety Service and the Shabla Municipality building and the introduction of energy efficiency measures, a reduction in carbon intensity and an increase in the security of energy supplies have been achieved by increasing the production of energy from renewable sources and improving energy efficiency. Working conditions have been improved, as well as the conditions for social cohesion and engagement of the local population.

Summary of bilateral results

Improved bilateral cooperation with interested stakeholders in the field of energy efficiency to present good practices and future development of the city and the municipality in this regard.
