Description
The project is focused on improvement of the proportion of family care for children and young adults at the expense of institutional care through support, increasing complexity, availability and capacity of services for people from the target group, support parenting skills, dissemination of information on available services. The project target group are children and young adults from foster care (100 persons), families of foster family care (100 families). The project will be realized by the applicant for 12 months.
Summary of project results
The project "Nest of Hope" focused to improve the ratio of the family care children and young adults at the expense of the institutional care through the support, development and increasing complexity, availability and capacity services for people from a target group, increasing the quality of substitute family care, supporting parental skills, dissemination of information on available services. The main objective of the project was to ensure that children and young people with social disadvantage grew up in the family own or surrogate. The long term project intent was to improve the ratio of the family care to the detriment of institutional care. Defined objective has been reached through of the five project activities: the foster care in its complexity; support of the children and young people from the substitute care (from the institutional and family care); counseling, including a securing Operation nonstop a phone line and publishing NEWSLETTER; development cooperation with the local social agencies in implementing the case conferences, the creation individual plans of the child and professional discussion; and strengthening and building the capacity of organization. We have organized 12 meetings within support teams, made 1.000 pieces of the information leaflets about the problems of the substitute family care, organized 8 weekend meetings, realized 10 meetings of the support teams, made 1.050 pieces of the information Newsletter KOLOVRATEK. In the counseling supported by 239 people. It was organized 11 case conferences and 7 professional discussion. 11 our workers were trained.
